I recently traded my 2015 A8 for a 2016 RS7 Prestige.

A friend told me there was a recall on these cars...I searched online and found that Audi recalled many of the 2015 - 2017 A7/S7/RS7 for side curtain airbag replacement.

Have many of you been contacted or had this recall done on your RS7?

I have the notice but have not had the work done as yet. Parts have not been readily available so I told my dealer that it could wait.

We have done about 20 of them so far. Most getting both sides replaced(pending criteria)

And yes, availability is tricky. They are ordered on a per VIN basis, and your car has to be on the owned list. So if you bought the car say the end of july, it may not have switched over in the system yet. So they cant be ordered yet.

My dealer (Audi of Atlanta) ordered my parts today, with an arrival of tomorrow and an install on Thursday.

Gonna get it done and out of the way.

I bought a 2016 RS7 Prestige at the end of June and just prior to traveling from Maryland to Florida to take delivery, they informed me that due to the recall, they could not sell it to me as a CPO. I told them to make the fix and get it to me ASAP as the CPO that I negotiated. The issue is availability of replacement airbags. The fix does not take very long to perform.
