Working well so far. Some static at low volumes and if multiple sounds coming from multiple apps- pandora and maps playing simultaneously. Changed USB to official apple brand and not cheap amazon brand and less static so far.
Have iPhone but looks to be compatible with android auto.
If you do use the car play, then have to diconnect the Bluetooth on your phone so the audio on phone call can be directed to the aux- otherwise you can’t hear the audio from phone call.

I just went through this same calculus, and found the perfect options on a 4K mile 2017 CPO RS7 Performance, and it came out cheaper than the RS5SB I specced out. Oh my god this car is glorious.
But then, I preferred my V8 S5 to the V6 version also, I just love big engines, regardless of how insanely amazing the RS5 engine is.

I am on the same page right now..whether to order RS5 SB (approx MSRP $94000) or look for RS7 Perf slightly used since I love the V8
I also found a couple of new RS7 Perf and wonder what kind of discounts they are willing to do to move them over..both are around $140Ks

Born slippy got the Rs7 perf. You can message him.
I bought a 2016 CPO Rs7 prestige - not performance w 20k miles negotiated down to 80k from 84k. The car was on lot for a while bc of the hold on c7 sales. Had a 3k radar/jammer already installed which was awesome. Also purchased tire and wheel protection and extended warranty past CPO which added up to a few grand extra.
