Default %^#(&#$#q!(# TYRE PRESSURE ALARM!!!

How in HELL do I defeat this damn thing?

Goes off every five miles....and every time I check pressure, it's 35 in every single tire....not one psi change anywhere....

I'm about to brick the dashboard console.

MAKE IT STOP!!!!!

Can't get to a dealer for about three weeks....75 miles away, can't get off from work. Please help.

Default Go into the menu on the dash and reset the "tyre pressure" setting and that will make it shut off

i did this on my dads RS4 the other day.

Default Re: Go into the menu on the dash and reset the "tyre pressure" setting and that will make it shut of

With the car on...

Press the "Reset" button on the lever on the right side of your steering wheel...

Make sure "Set" is highlighted using the up/down buttons on the end of that same right lever...

"Tyre/Tyre Pressure"... something like that...

Then "Record/Set Tyre Pressure".. I'm not sure of the "actual name" as I don't have my manual in front of me...

It'll store the current pressures and let you know the next time the temperature outside drops .001 degrees and then go off again... so annoying...

I've contemplated turning it off... but with my luck I'll actually have a problem and never know... better safe that sorry i guess...

Default I had the opposite problem....I did everything I could to TRY to make it alarm, but it never did.

even after installing wheels with no sensors...fabulous system.

my advice is to order a VAG-COM....yeah, it'll cost you $300 or so, but you'll have it in a few days or less. and it's useful for a lot of things besides the TPMS.

http://www.ross-tech.com</a

Default just tried using the stick to turn it off. It turns off for about 10 mins and then lights right back

up. VAGCOM, like bob said, is the only way to do it.

Default do you have any aftermarket mods at all?

I find that many electronics will interfere with the receiver of the tires and cause them to go off.

Default Got one?? Use it much??

Sounds like a bargain and for this car, maybe the 1st and best mod. Thanks.

Default yes I do...I've used it many times.

it's sort of like a toilet plunger...you don't necessarily plan to use it, and most people don't use it a lot, but when you need it you REALLY need it. And running to the store to get one in a time of need isn't always feasible.
