Noni S4

so last night I was coming home from my hockey game and grinded 3rd gear pretty bad...my car wasnt showing any signs of damage or anything untill I got to my driveway and couldnt get into 1st nor 2nd gear...I searched the forums and its seems I may have damaged my1/2 synchros...I saw a post where after driving it around and forcing into both gears it may work its way out? Would this be a bad idea or have any of you tried this and it actually worked out ok? TIA
