12.56 @110mph on snow tires lol !
made 3 runs in 20 minutes, then went home. 43 degree F, calm wind, baro=30, 4000rpm launch, 36psi hot Dunlop WinterSport M3 225x18, car weighed 4025 with 185 pound driver, fresh carbon clean, just under 1/2 tank full of 93 octane Shell. I ran the snow tires because I wanted it to spin a bit to save the drivetrain. When I first got this car in 2006 I went on record estimating a 12.5. Looks like that was pretty close. Best part was whooping that modded-to-hell Evo tee-hee-hee.
Run #1 13.14 @110.27 60'=2.3117
Run #2 12.64 @111.36 60'=2.0043
Run #3 12.56 @110.27 60'=1.8334

great run there elevens
snows are great at the strip, especially if they`re lighter than the stockers. Stock wheels and tires are pushing 52 lbs but a set of 18 inch winters with narrow tires can reduce a whack of rotating mass and help a great deal.
so...
H pipe
GIAC tune
carbon free
lighter wheels+tires and maybe slightly better diameter (smaller) than stock for a bit of a gearing improvement
excellent density altitude at -423 feet
All around a great time for a solid and simple modlist. People should take note! What octane was it you were running (assuming 93). I`m going to throw the time on the RS4 list I keep.
p.s. your car weighed 4025 - 185 = 3845...but you were down 50 lbs of gas so 3895 curb if it were a full tank. That`s about 30-40 lbs lighter than mine, so I guess that`s the benefit of the sunroof delete...would you say

Nice run 11's...I'm gonna try some of ur setup and see what I can get when I go again next week. I didn't know lower tire pressure helps....I think I'm due for a 2nd carbon clean because I'm at 12k since my last one, and I'm not feeling the boost at 5500 rpm's....also spark plugs are due

H-pipe, GIAC tune, and 93 octane. There's no point in running higher than 93 octane with the recent carbon clean. Had the car been carboned up, then I would have run 95 octane.
Each wheel/tire combo weighed identical - 52.5 pounds each. Surprised me too.
These cars don't get enough credit. I was done in 20 minutes today (as soon as I saw 1.8x 60'). With a cooler motor (oil temp was 195-200) and better tires, I am certain 12.4s should be very doable. All the planets have to be aligned however. And getting another 43 degree day with 30" of mercury and no wind when a track is open will not be easy!

hey Elevens
I said I have the third fastest stock time on the forums when I was bitch slapping your sycophant badblueRS4 who ran 13.4 like a ricer who can't drive.
DOn't forget who adminsters the RS4 quartermile database on audirevolution...me...so i obviously know what's in front of me.
And he's really going to be pissed that I beat his 1/4 mile time.

I was thinking about doing a writeup. I've done quite a bit of dragging in my day and some of the pointers might be a surprise.
