Default 18" old school B5 RS4 wheels on a B7 RS4

That's what I went with. I needed a set of 18's asap for track use for the time being (until I find a better lighter set) and it was a toss up between 18x8.5 RS6 5-spokes (replica style 172) and 18x8.5 B5RS4 9-spokes (replica style 131). I went with the B5RS4 wheels for several reasons: 1) the ET20 "all-road" offset does not require the use of spacers (RS6 wheels needed a 5mm spacer), and 2) because they are marginally stronger (according to achtuning), they will be better suited for daily driving in the pothole-ridden city of Chicago where they will soon assume duties as a winter wheel with winter tires after a short stint at some track events for the remainder of the season. I went with Goodyear Eagle F1-GSD3 255/40/18's according to all the glowing reviewes about them lately and per Tirerack's recommendation. These tires were cheap too ($230/tire) and I wouldn't feel so bad shredding them up at the track

Will post pics as soon as they arrive. It will probably look anemic at the 18" size compared to the 19" stockers but the good thing is that it allows for a greater selection of tire options from R-comps to dedicated winters.

Default That's awesome that Tirerack sold the F1's to you. That means they now have the proper load rating

You'll love those tires. I intend to put those on mine after the P-Zero's wear out. Best tire I've ever owned, bar none.

Default they've always had the proper load rating... for both 255/35/19 and 255/40/18

96Y and 95Y respectively I believe.

The best thing about these tires is that not only are they highly regarded, but they're dirt cheap compared to PS2's or PZero Rossos.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?make=Goodyear&model=Eagle+F1+GS-D3

I think he meant stock S4. They only have 91Y in 235/40/18.

Default so they're replica B5RS4 wheels?

the OEM B5RS4 wheels had all kinds of bending issues....but supposedly it was an intentional part of the design, IIRC.
