Default 2006 RS4 RPM Cut out
My RS4 cuts out at about 7500 RPM, In Europe these cars cut out at 8200. Does anyone knows if the chip is different on the US cars? If yes where can I buy a Euro spec chip?

Negative, I just that the US Chip cuts out the RPM at a lower RPM.

I own a US spec RS4 and I'm able to hit the rev limiter with the tach showing somewhere between 8000 and 8500 rpm. There are rumors that the RS4's V8 will rev faster than the tach can keep up at idle or in 1st.

Default if your oil is warm (above 126F i think) you should have no problem, although
as mentioned above, people say in first the tach cant move fast enough.

Default are you sure its a RS4?
there is no US spec 2006 RS4, 2007 was the first year. ALL RS4s rev to 8250 rpm, doesn't matter where they are in the world. unless it's broken.

Negative BOB first RS4 built in 2006, for some reason yanks call 2006 builds 2007 why????????????

build date vs. model year....in the US, 2007 was the first model year.

my VIN shows it as a 2007 but all my insurance, registration, etc etc shows it as a 2006.
