2007 engine issue question

2007 engine issue question
Hey , heres my little story
Ive had an 07 audi rs4 since september with close too 60k on it.
Ive noticed a lack of power (lagging) , an occasional cel and black smoke .
When i came back from a 3week trip i came back and had a new flickering cel , once i hooked it up to the computer i figuered out it was cylinder number 4.
After reading about the carbon deposit i immediatly thought i found the issue but when i started the cleaning proccess i noticed that one of the cylinders valves were open (when facing the engine the top left one)
Which number is that one?
Luckily for me i have an extended warranty.
Anyway my question is do you guys think i have a busted valve spring ?
