2007 RS4 brake question

Hi everyone,
This is the first time that I am posting here and this looks like a great forum.
I have a quick question that I am hoping someone will know the answer to.
My brother has a 2007 RS4 and it needs brakes and rotors. I am highly technical and have done brakes on all of my vehicles. Is this a vehicle that an owner can do their brakes on? And are there any special tools required?

Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to add that I also want to replace the rear pads and rotors. Do I need a VAG-COM to retract the caliper?

Piece of cake! No joke. No VAG-COM needed for this car either, just a good c-clamp to keep the force on-axis and you'll be fine!

nothing to it, no special tools other than to retract the rear calipers.
make sure to clean the hubs very good where the rotors seat.

I did this job last summer and had a friend that knows what he's doing help me. He said the job really wasn't too difficult. I replaced the brake lines as well with JH braided steel lines. I bought some flair wrenches for that part. You'll need to rent the tool to turn the rear brake pistons back in; don't use the cube looking one that is the all-in-one tool. I learned that there is a brake fluid bleeder on the inside and outside of the front brakes as well.

What pads and rotors are you going with?
