1 have a 2007 rs4 it started have issues dwonshifting from 2nd to 1st and ended up with the downshift requiring a complete stop. took it to an audi dealer in asheville n.c. they dissasembled it and told me it was warranty, the parts were ordered some from germany and it would be a week, three weeks later it was still not here. now an audi rep has shown up and says because of my cat back exhaust and kw suspension the car has been modified and raced????? warranty void and null???? has anybody else had tranny trouble with their rs4's and does audi's customer service suck this bad? a $75000 sports car with less than 20000 miles on it? i am very upset and all audi owners should unite and share info to help me and my plight. this is an awesome car but customer service sucks! HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

Why would you be shifting from 2nd to 1st in the first place?

Default "this is an awesome car but customer service sucks!"

Yup, that's pretty much par-for-the-course with Audi, unfortunately.

If you are who I think you are, I posted a message about this when I heard from Eddie Pyle. I'm the guy in Johnson City with the Black RS4 (we met in Kingsport this spring). I spoke w Eddie extensively. I think you should hire a lawyer. Nobody else here thinks they have a leg to stand on. KW V3 coilovers and a magnaflow exhaust DO NOT void your powertrain warranty. This audi customer service rep needs to be bitchslapped by a good lawyer so that he learns he cant pull this kind of **** on you. Good luck and let me know if you need any help.

same question here. never done this in any car of mine. i've noticed in the rs4 a pretty much a dead stop is required. if i don't come to a complete stop i just start it second.

Default Answer: Call a lawyer

For a few bucks, sick a lawyer on them and let AoA know this in no uncertain terms. They CANNOT void a powertrain warranty for modifying suspension and exhaust, that is ludicrous. They have to prove those things caused damage, they will lose. Good luck!

um, you shouldn't downshift into 1st unless you're at a complete stop....ever.

Default Deja vu! see my recent problems on linky... My 1-2-3 gears were replaced...

under warranty; dealer noticed that someone had previously "hotrodded" my car (it was a CPO) and the clutch was almost gone (not under warranty)
