Default 2008 Ibis w/ 7100 Miles "EPC" code tonight on the way home......possible problems?

On the way home tonight the "EPC" light came on, which I'm assuming isn't something that I need to take care of right away. I only have 7100 miles on the car. I'm trying to stay calm about it, and will take it in next week. Any input on possible issues would help as I deal with the service dept. Car seems to drive fine, but I'm scared to really "GET" on it.

Default Just tried that...........didn't come up intitially on start up.....

Just ran out and started it back up. No code for the first 2 minutes. I'll drive it at length tomorrow to see if it comes back. I really find it pathetic that a code is being thrown on a car with less than 8K miles it(and cost nearly 80K). I have loved the car up until now. Yes, it has an extensive computer driven system, but this stuff should be tested fully.

Default usually an ecu issue

dad's a4 had it, just went and got it reflashed at dealer

Default I'm guessing it's the intake manifold runners

Mine was intermittment until it decided to stay on for good after that. Audi Middle East replaced the intake manifold under warranty (a 2 day job) and it's been gone since.

You can get Audi to clean the runners (1 day job) -- it worked for me, but since my car was under warranty, I had them replace it anyway

Default Don't get too stressed about the car throwing a code yet.

It is often no big deal.

Default Hooked it up to OBDII..........no codes present.

Drove it around for about an hour today. Started, stopped at various places. EPC light never came on. Should I take it in anyway, or just wait til it comes up again?

Default I would not worry about it unless it comes on again

As an aside, all codes should be stored so perhaps there was no code thrown.
