Just a heads up... went in to get my brakes looked at after hearing some noises... i've been paranoid since the previous posts about sensors not working...
anyway... saw an '08 daytona cab on the porsche side... an '08 phantom black... and another daytona sedan which looked like it might be ready for delivery... not sure though...
thought someone might be interested in checking them out...

im gonna eat my rotors out, my pads are very low. Not replacing pads until sensor comes on...
Head service advisor ASSURED me 110% that they DO NOT fail. So I am taking him up on his offer.

Make sure your Service Advisor states he will replace the rotors if sensors do not work.
You will be very sorry when he does not back it up. Many many cases out there on failed RS4 sensors and the owner held responsible for the rotors. Please don't become another fool thinking that Audi will stand behind the sensors.
Pull the wheel off and check to see if the sensor wire is hanging loose, not attached to the brake any more. Happens lots of times.
If you are smart enough to own a RS4 then check your pads.

same here! I thought i was already there! 32k and apparently "i'm good" with
5mm in the front and 8.5 in the back... we'll see how long it takes... i planned on 4 new pads and 2 rotors (paying for the pads of course) and they sent me home!
i tried reproducing the noise with the foreman, and NOTHING... i couldn't help but laugh... guess i can go back to breaking instead of incessantly downshifting...
