All three STaSIS SPEED World Challenge Touring Cars are being rebuilt for the 07 season. The cars have to be 100% reliable and therefore must be gone through completely. All three motors are in the UK at MAHLE Motor Sports being rebuilt and sealed under the watchful eye of SCCA officials. The motors are sealed with electronic tags so that the STaSIS team never has to tear them down after a race to be checked by SCCA officials.

New carbon fiber splitter being made. A mold is being created on the car so that each is identical. When these are done you will be able to stand on them while they are attached to the car as they are extremely strong.

You are in great hands with them... they should have a very nice 996 and 997 GT car to look at.

Default looks like you've your work cut out for you.

do you get the bare shells directly from Audi, or do you buy A4s to tear down and rebuild?

Default The chassis are pulled off the assembly line, mid production.

They were then shipped to Audi Sport UK where they work with the factory CAD designs and factory engineers to lighten the cars, seam weld them and then build the cages. We then get them as a "chassis in white". From there we build them to what you see on the track. MAHLE builds our motors and sends them to us sealed. They also fly two engineers to every race for support over the entire season.
