It would seem that they are not in high demand for such an exclusive car. Just think what the market might be when the M3 is released. Just wondering.

Default There'll probably be more used ones at a discount by then.

The danger is that some (perhaps many) may have been abused before the owner decides to flip it for something else. I wonder if people who plan on keeping their cars longer than one or two years might not take better care of them? I certainly wouldn't buy one if it had been modded.

Default They will be almost forgotten about once the next gen M3 is released believe me.

That's not to put down the RS4 in any way, just my feeling. The M3 will be the new flavor of the month and that's the way it has always been.

Clarification note: Of the 47, less than 10 are actually used

Default Re: very odd

these cars have between 300-2000 miles. Somthing tells me that these are dealer demo cars, Why would anyone drive 300-2000 miles and sell them. The M3 or any other car won't be a threat to the RS4, because it is 4 door, AWD and has lots of power. I just sold an E46 to buy the RS and I have to tell, the car, interior, exterior, drivability, everything, is far superior than an BMW. I have owned 4 BMW's before switching to the Audi. I don't car what people do with the RS4, it is a superior car and is very unique.

I have 300 miles on mine and I love it.
Thanks

Default Same thing happened with the M5......

Within months of relaese I was seeing cars with only a few hundred miles for sale. Can't explain the phenomenon other than the super rich buying the car then just deciding it's not what they wanted. For me, the RS4 represents an ultimate level car. It is at the absolute upper level of what I can afford without taking a loan -something I haven't had to do for some time now. I plan on keeping this one for a number of years, 6-7 at least.

Default I hope so... the RS4 has been the flavor of the month that most people will never taste

and I like it that way.

The M3 will be the new darling child of the auto press, as well as every tom, dick and harry.

Part of being a limited production car is having limited mindshare in the minds of those who don't think too hard when buying a car, and that means quite a few BMW fans.

You really get off on this "exclusive" thing.
