Is 4K off, bad, good, exceptional now? I know that months ago this would be unheard off.

It's only good if there is a willing buyer and seller

Default I'm not doubting the deal.

But, if it was exceptional, then you wouldn't have posted or someone else would have bought it already. If it was bad, then you would have walked. So, it's only good if you order it.

Only you know the local market, your personal economics, etc.

Default That's seems like a really complicated response.

What he's basically asking is:

Insofar as this forum represents a sampling of various markets across the nation, is $4k off above, at, or below average?

If dealers in Seattle are only offering $4k off but dealers around the rest of the US are doing $6k, then it's not a good deal. And so on.

Yes, personal financial situations dictate whether or not it's a good deal for him, but that's not his question.

What is the MS discount? Is AUDI beginning to deal on these limited production vehicles? I had resigned myself to paying full retail so this is a welcome development. I am heading down to my Audi dealer this morning to see what I can see, so any info to arm myself with would be helpful.

Default I think by MS he means Microsoft, which is a very powerful presence here in WA.

It wouldn't surprise me if they had a negotiated discount w/ certain dealers.

It's a good deal based on what others have paid.

Yep, 6% off MSRP for MSFT employees. I got the deal. Even as of last Christmas (i.e., two months ago), they weren't offering the deal (I asked) but that's changed. I can't help but wonder if the new M3 being just around the corner is softening RS4 sales because Barrier had two on the lot when I purchased mine and the other still hasn't sold and it's been there for a week.
