60,000 Mile Update
I happened to notice that my RS4 turned 60,000 miles today so I thought I would share my experiences so far. (For what it's worth...)
History: Bought car new two years ago this month.
Added H-Pipe this summer.
Running 265/30/20 Work wheels with BFG TKW's for summer, 18" Dunlap M3's for winter.
Replaced spark plugs at 50K.
Change oil without fail every 5K.
Followed factory maintenance.
Still on original brakes. (I drive a lot of highway but will need new pads and rotors this spring.)
Trouble to date: Arm rest cover hinge broke last week. (Have no idea why.)
That's it!
Overall impressions: This is my every day driver. Rain, snow, or shine.
It is still a blast to drive.
Whenever I drive anything else (including P-cars,) I'm not wanting to change rides yet.
I just thought some people want to know my experiences before deciding to keep theirs for the long run, that's it.

Re: 60,000 Mile Update
good to hear such a positive report, thnx
like any car, with religious maintenance, coupled with a little mechanical sympathy, and the car will be reliable...

Re: 60,000 Mile Update
as long as the oil is changed regularly and the engine/gears are up to temp, pushing the car is what it's built for...as long as one stays smooth (no slamming of gears, clutch drops, driveline shocks, etc.) the car will hold up just fine...
my M3's went
e30 225k
e36 200k
e46 150k
just fine, no major issues and pulled strong, low oil consumption, etc.

Nice to hear
now that's more like it! A trouble free RS4 at higher mileage.
I'm sure they're are many more out there, as a lot of owners aren't inclined to post here if not experiencing a problem.
