Airfilter removal...
is it similar to the B6/B7 S4? I looked through the manual, but didn't find anything. I've taken apart the airfilter box several times in my previous S4 and I'm guessing it's similar in the RS4.

It is easy - two screws...
It should be pretty obvious, but there is a photo in the bulb change DIY since the filter/duct have to come out to get to the right bulbs.

Light Bulb Change DIY

No I'm not. Come on! Mistaking the oil filter for the air filter?...
they are a PIA with the newer Audi's because they are buried under a duct and on their side. Take a look under the hood of a VW. AF's typically right on top, horizontal(not vertical), clear and free.

60 seconds?...
removing the top duct, hoses, the 2 fuel lines from retainers, air ducting, couple electrical switches, a small hose here or there, and the screws, pulling if off, cleaning filter housing, placing new filter in there hoping it doesn't keep wanting to fall out because it's in there on it's side instead of laying in from top, putting it all back together in reverse order. All that in 60 seconds? I am impressed : )
An air filter should be more accessible and not buried down there on its side, but that's the Audi way.

Ok so I've gotten most out of the way...
but how do you remove the breather tube coming off the side (toward headlight)? Also, is it necessary to disconnect main 3in tube coming off the engine? And if so, how does the electrical connection release from the MAF? Maybe I will get the Bentley, I feel like I'm going to brake some little piece of plastic.

This is what I was talking about...
if you want to do it right, and not be fighting eveything, you have to disconnect a lot from the airbox. It's a PITA, I'll say it again.
Just take your time, remove the two large air ducts you are referring to(hose clamps, etc) and hopefully you'll get the job completed in about a half hour...and 60 seconds.
The electrical connect at MAF, and that's not the only one, needs to be disconnected. You should be able to squeeze and pull off.
