Default For all those using Stasis SL...

Just purchased a set for my 08 RS4 last night from Jason @ Stasis. Aside from installing them and enjoying my "clunk free" ride (front left shock not working at 100%), is there anything else I need to know for after install? Do I need to get the car realigned? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated...I'll post some pics after install..Thanks guys.

Default I did an alignment...

10mm spacers give a really nice stance to the car.

Mine was set as high as it will go and has settled to a really nice height. I had crazy rubbing in the rear with the heights they originally were set at. We fixed that before I left from the install.

That's about it. Enjoy!

I aligned mine as well, nothing else was needed.

Give it 2 weeks to settle, then do an alignment.

what do you mean by "letting it settle"? Are there issues with the check engine light because of the non funtional DRC?

Default As the car sits on the springs for a little while, they will compress and the

ride height will come down more, further altering the suspension geometry. It's pretty standard after lowering a car to give it a couple of weeks for this to happen before getting an alignment done.

Default 2nd, my car dropped significantly within a few weeks of my SL install. It was low to begin

with so I raised it, waited a couple more weeks and then had it aligned. The ride seemed to get noticably more compliant after awhile too, and seems to be very close to the stock ride now. Maybe I just got used to it but the ride is quite comfortable with better handling.

Default Since the suspension geo is changed, does it affect the camber? Or is it going to be ...

pretty similar to factory? Just wondering on the tire wear.

Thanks

Default Not sure if the RS4 is different, but on my A4

the camber WAS affected but during the alignment the dealership was able to get the car back to about 95% of factory spec. My car is fairly low (Stasis coilovers) but not dumped. I have about 27,000 miles on the car now, switching back and forth between summer and sets, and none of the tires show any sign of uneven wear, fwiw.
