and alcantara isn't available? WTF?

It also looks like CCB's are available in Europe, but not the USA? Why does Audi always stiff us on some level?

You are correct. Alcantara is not currently available on the RS4 in the US.

Default It wouldn't surprise me if the brakes didn't come here for warranty reasons...

I know many Audi owners are used to getting free pads and rotors under the service agreement. I got them on my S4.

In Europe, the warranty is only 2 years and you're on your own for all service.

Default Yea, I can see that. Those rotors are probably $5000+ each. but still.....

....I guess that leaves us with an upgrade option, eh? ;-) "Only" $15,000 - 20,000, and be able to sell the OE US spec brakes.

As for the Alcantara, it may be a while, but finding a B7 S4 in the junkyard, and swapping for the alcantara, would be an option as well.

Default Are you set on ordering one? would you consider used?

My last autotrader search revealed 35 of them available for sale.

Default Not set on anything just yet, still figuring if I can really get one.....

or, more importantly, will the wife stay with me if I get one? ;-P

I'd think at this point, with the car being out for so little time, the "used" ones out there either were bought for investment purposes to "flip" for a profit, or were bought, beaten, and being discarded for some reason. But I'll look into that, thanks for the tip!
