The Patton Museum at Ft. Knox had an open house today, allowing visitors to tour the Richardson Motor Pool and the LST Building. The <a href="http://www.aths.com/history_ftknox.html">LST Building</A> was constructed in 1942 as a way to figure out how to properly ventilate the tank deck of an LST, and later train tank crews on how to load an LST. The volunteer on duty suggested I take some shots of my car "disembarking." I wonder what the maximum fording depth of an RS 4 is...

And finally, one on my way out of the museum. I stopped just for a second to snap this photo--and even left the car running--and in the time it took for a family to clear the shot the soldier in the picture came out to tell me to get out of the handicapped loading zone.

It was an awesome day, seeing and climbing in a lot of neat vehicles. Just before I made it home, I passed a pickup truck on a 2-lane road. As I checked my mirror before getting back in my lane, I saw that the driver was clapping. I'm gonna presume it was because of the exhaust note, and not because he thought I was an *** for passing someone who was going 5 mph under the speed limit...
