I have just picked up new a TT RS. I went for the Sports Exhaust option and it sounds 'just' right once the 'Sports' button is pressed and at higher RPM. Love it!

Question for you chaps here, does the exhaust get noticably louder after a while from new? Effectively, does it get louder once the car has 'run-in'?

I will hate to think I might have got something that gets even loder once the mileage increases/ with age.

At present I have only got 270 miles on the clock since I picked it up yesterday - so I have much more driving to do.

If anything I would expect it to get a little quieter as you start to get a bit of carbon build up.

BTW you realize you posted this q in the B7 RS4 forum?

Thx Alister and I realize it was the B7 RS4 forum - was expecting more feeback from here because most RS4 owners here seem to either have an upgraded exhaust or had 'tinkered' with their car set-up more often than other forums.
