Default any holding off on buying the RS4 until the GT-R from Nissan comes out

they should be pretty competitive, although if the GT-R comes with the twin turbo V6, I think that it will have the upper hand from the dealer and in aftermarket tuning. The most recent Motor Trend has a pretty fair write-up on the GT-R. Not saying I like one over the other especially since the final specs for the GT-R are not out yet.

Default The GT-R will be a great car, but I'm still getting the RS4

I'm sure the Nissan boards will have to opposite opinion.

from pics i've seen, the styling is unforgivable. looks like something from Judge Dredd.

Default 2nd, taste differs from person to person, though.

It must be tuned up over 1000ps someday.

Default I can assure you one thing and that is the GT-R will rip apart the RS4.

I'm not a fan of the styling either and that's why I've never even liked the classic Skyline.

Remember, this car is made to compete with the 911 Turbo and is expected to give it a real run for the money if not beat it. Only time will tell I guess.

Default I think I read in a magazine (Car) it's going to be in the 70k + range

No matter what it will be pure speculation until Nissan officially announces the release and pricing info. This price will be considered a bargain for what is to be considered the 911 Turbo slayer.

still getting an RS4 unless it's delayed. if I wanted 2 doors and turbos, I'd go 997TT over GT-R

Default ???? the 997tt is twice the price of the gtr. not comparable cars ...

the gtr is designed to spank a regular carrera. and wont be far behind a 997tt. but everyone keeps assuming the gtr will be FI engine. there are not official specs yet, just myriad rumors. some say v8, some say v6tt; some awd, some rwd. the only design parameter is a specific lap time around the ring. also, the only official spec on the gtr is that it will be coming to states as a nissan (and not an infinity, as was previously thought)! ill get in line for one if i have the funds when it becomes available.
