Default Any solution for non-blk/silv/white RS4s who want clear/painted corner reflectors??

I did a forum search and it looks like the best thing people have been doing is smoking them out, which wouldnt look that good on a sprint blue. And my wife would kill me if I blew money on a euro front bumper JUST to have the side reflectors match the paint color ;P

I havent found any good info on how to remove them, since I hear they are not like the S4 reflectors and are secured by bolts. What I didnt see is if someone found a good way to access these bolts short of removing the nose.

It sounds like if I go to the effort of removing the nose, I should just buy some spare reflectors ahead of time, have them painted, and then insert them. Problem is, sprint blue is probably not a color used often in the audi body shops...

I remember reading someone (Fluffhead?) bought some reflectors ahead of time, but then I heard someone else claim there is no separate part number (part of bumper).. so now Im confused what he bought.

Default if you find your paint code, u can order it thru audi parts... thats what i did. i put on about 13

coats till the reflection behind the paint wasnt visible under any light. the paint comes with clear coat as well. to remove the reflector u NEED to remove the nose, there is if i remember correctly an 8mm nut holding it on from the inside. you do not need to remove the nose completely, just till u can get to the nut.
heres the only picture i have (thanks jeff for the great shot)<ul><li><a href="http://flickr.com/photos/jeffahn/2982494544/in/set-72157608459292079/">http://flickr.com/photos/jeffahn/2982494544/in/set-72157608459292079/</a</li></ul>

Default I got the rear ones ahead of time and had them smoked...

I then destroyed the stock ones to get them out b/c I didn't know there was an easy way to pop them out.

For the front I have the European bumper.

Default A nice weekend project. No need to remove bumper, reflectors, etc which is a royal PITA.

1. The materials. Ordered these from Paintscratch.com. You'll need the paint code of your car color. Easy online order form.

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/561/dsc01442.jpg">

2. Prep the car properly to protect from overspray. Sand reflector with 150 grit then wet sand with 600 grit sand paper. Properly dry.

3. Apply 2 coats adhesion promoter followed by 3-4 coats primer. Allow to dry overnight. Wet sand with 600 grit paper. Allow to dry for a few hours. Follow with 4-5 coats color and 4-5 coats clear coat waiting about 10 min between coats. The next day, apply rubbing compound and buff.

4. The finished product. This has held up for me for 18 months flawlessly, so far, including a harsh New England winter. Total cost=$72.00

Default I put tinted clear bra on my side markers & tails. I think it would look good on the blue

I saw this done on a blue R32 and it looked great. The nice thing about it - only $85 for the side markers &amp; tail lights &amp; if you don't like it, you can just peel it off.
