Thanks...I had done that but was hoping for more input.
Dealer indicated, "The misfire is possibly due to the type of fuel that you use". I use Shell. They went on to say, "Since this is a high performance vehicle we/Audi recommend(s) that you bring it in for injector/intake cleaning to remove carbon deposits"..."This is to be expected on high performance vehicles such as the RS4" Of course this is not covered by Audi as it is not a defect and will be $150. Well, I use the fuel recommended by Audi, drive a mixture of city/highway and I find this quite insulting.

Really now. I suggest that you escalate it to Audi Corporate
What the dealer is suggesting is in no way suggested by Audi. I'd ask them to put their recommendations in writing and then contact Audi.
There is a whole procedure in the manual for diagnosing misfires that include:
Fuel Injectors
Coil Packs
Spark Plugs
Intake Leaks
Fuel Pressure
It could also be:
valve deposits
cam timing chain
valve lifters
Variable valve timing adjuster

I agree....
Sounds to me like they are just trying to sell an add on product.
I will ask them put their recommendations in writing and see what their response is.
What is the best way to get in touch with Audi corporate. Do you have any e-mails or numbers to cantact them with.

If you another dealership nearby it might be worth a visit.
Also, there are some here that have been through this issue. Hopefully, they will add to the discussion.

Mine felt worse than "misfires" more like the rev limiter was dropped to 6000.
There was a problem with the intake runners not changing over from low to high RPM. Easily fixed. Ask them what codes you were getting from the motor as some have had coil packs go out. I use Shell with no problems.

Thanks. I will see what...
they have to say when I pick up the car tonight. If not satisfied I will check at another Audi dealer. It is not near here but might be worth a try. If not I will get in touch with AOA and see what their thoughts are.
I was hoping that those who may have experienced this would chime in and provide some solutions.
Thanks again.
