anyone with the ADR v1 interface...
I just installed the unit and the display does show the valentine information, but it seems useless, as if the display is cycling through all the bands. Could someone share with me what the two number displays to the right(lower and upper)stand for? Which one is the bogey counter?

Lol, not useless.
The "S1", "S2" etc. number is the one telling you how many signals. The other number is the strength of the strongest signal.
Hopefully you understand the arrows and the letters indicating band. If not, let me know and I'll snap some pictures and make a diagram for you.
Unless your unit really is malfunctioning for some reason. I had some software issues with my set up, but when I posted about it on the caughtbluehanded.com web site, they fixed it an posted a software update.
Speaking of which, have you used the configuration software? There is a USB port inside the box, some cool features you can configure like auto muting the V1 below a certain speed.

thank you for the quick response
I just don't find the display useful. Could you please draw a diagram so that i know what I am looking at. The first thing that the screen does is flash valentine one and what mode of detection it's in. then every once in a while the screen just cycles through the parameters without any radar detection. Then when there is a true signal, all the different bands x,k,ka will all flash and so will all the direction arrows. Does this sound like a software problem?

I was quick but wrong. The "S" number is the signal strength. That behavior sounds like a problem.
Have you seen the video on the caughtbluehanded.com web site? I'll try to snap some pictures today and make a diagram for you. But I'm swamped at work for the next couple of days, so it will be later in the week before I can do it.
For me, it flashes something like "V1 AUTO ADVLOGIC" when it first comes up (or when I push the "Mode" button on my steering wheel which also serves to mute the V1.)
The display only comes up on its own when there is an alert. S1 (or S2, S3, etc) on the top left is the signal strength. The other number is the number of bogeys. The band indicators should only light up for the bands actually being detected (just like the V1's own display). And of course the same is true for the arrows.
So, if it's coming up when you don't have an alert (the V1 isn't making any noise) then you must have a problem. Post the description of it on the forums at the caughtbluehanded web site, and Tudor, who appears to be the owner, will get back to you pretty quickly. As I said, he created and posted a software update to fix the problem I was having in just a couple of days.
I had some frustrations getting mine to work, but now that it does it is totally awesome.
