Anyone ever accidently hit the panic button when removing the key...
from the ignition. I did today...and I couldn't figure out why my dash was blinking. I thought I might have hit the hazards, but realized the button is way up on the dash. I had never heard the alarm before, so I thought something was going horribly with my car. Finally hit the key unlock button and all was ok.

I used to do it al the time, but it hasn't happened in a while... I don't know why, I doubt I'm doing anything differently...
