Default Anyone here gone airborne or nearly so with their car?

Nothing to be proud of but I goosed it too much going over a hump trying to get a real roller coaster feeling for the kids... didn't quite realize the size of the drop off on the other side (at least, not coming this way down the street). I was going realitively slowly on a side street, except for the quick stab at the accelerator. So after being quiet for a minute realizing how stupid that was, I said "Don't tell grandpa.. Not a word." So what happens? First thing out of my 5 year olds mouth at home was "Grandpa Grandpa We jumped the car !!" Sheesh.

Default In my old Trans Am, when I was in high school.

There was this stretch of road that we called "rolla costa" because if you hit it right, you could feel the car lift up enough.

Well, we all had really slow cars in high school until I got my Trans Am (which is slow by today's standards)... took it there once doing probably 20-30mph faster than before... it crashed down hard. I didn't do it again.

Default back in the day, in a Fiero...man those things could fly

on the back roads in Freeport Maine (Flying Point Road to be specific) there's a crazy jump. If you know that road you know what I'm talking about. Didn't take much speed to launch.

Default except with MORE white trash ;-)

oh man, my '86 TA was seriously WT... torn seats, drooping headliner, faded and oxidized red paint, flowmasters.

I loved that thing though.

Default Never by choice

in a 4000lb car. I got my A6 2.7T a little light once. That was scary.

Then there was that old Impala when I was a kid. Drum brakes. Bias ply tires. No seatbelts.
Let's just say, it didn't land with a great deal of grace and I needed to change my underwear after that..
