Default Anyone know how much the window trim kit is from dealer?

standard silver finish, not ti, as I assume this is cheaper, painting it black anyways. Anywhere I can get it cheaper? I searched ebay.de and couldn't find a kit there.

The Ti trim is just black plastic. May actually be cheaper and hold up better than painted chrome.

Default Wow you serious?

That is surprising. I thought it was painted Ti to match the mirrors and wheels. If it is just black, that makes my life so much easier. I can just buy it and install without getting painted. Better stop by the dealer today to see how much they are going to soak me for it.

Default The trim is really rubber and not plastic. It's $749 for the entire kit, including the two rear

quarter windows.<ul><li><a href="http://oempl.us/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=60_71_1 04&amp;products_id=767">Titanium window trim</a></li></ul>

how hard is it to remove the trim? i heard it's a pita... considering changing mines to black as well. if the Ti trim is $700 i can imagine how much the aluminum trim is (since i wanted to alternate between black in summer and aluminum winter.

genuinevwaudiparts has the trim for cheaper.. more like $400-500 for all the trim needed..

Default Have you thought of looking through junk yards?

Even 'mortal' A4s had the Ti package in 08, not just RS4s, so you mmay want to explore that route (granted, numbers are not in your favor).

BTW, my last loaner was an 08 A4 with Ti package. Hint hint... ;-o)

Default I was thinking the same, alternating...

But I have been told on here and by the shop that would do my work that removing them causes them to be destroyed. They get bent. So I am just going all black summer and winter. If my aluminum trim survives though, I will sell it to you if interested, since I already made the jump to have my grill ring and summer rims painted black this week.

Default I was looking online at junk yards but...

I have been told this type of part does not come off without being damaged. I did think of you though. Any luck on keeping the RS4 of yours for parting out? Or is the insurance company claiming it as theirs now? I still would love the carbon interior from you.
