Default Anyone notice this on the Audi website, RE: ipod integration??

Very interested.. I don't see the RS4 listed, but I dont see why it wouldnt be compatible. Anyone have inside info on this?<ul><li><a href="http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/experience/technology/Audi_Music_Interface.html">http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/experience/technology/Audi_Music_Interface.html</a</li></ul>

Default from my understanding its limited in function.

it will only allow 5 play lists (the first 5 CD "slots" in its programming) and the 6th play list is the entire contents of the ipod.

i would just rather they provide a damn line input.

Default I heard the new interface is fully functional... apparently it's about the best on the market...

but it's only compatible with the MMI system which is a little different from the RNS-E system.

Default doesn't even support upcoming 4-series at all. the MMI in the 6/8 are different and...

...more feature-rich. unlikely to be able to retrofit on the 4s, including RS4, if it won't be coming from the factory a a 4-series option.

maybe with a bunch of VAG-COM wizardry and some custom cables, but a long shot.

Default Correct... some more review info inside.

Of unfortunate note:

"The current accessory solution for A3, A4, S4 and RS 4 iPod integration will remain the sole offering for those models."<ul><li><a href="http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publish/Features/printer_2601.shtml">http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publish/Features/printer_2601.shtml</a</li></ul>

Default The RS4 has the RNS-E Nav system which is a little different from MMI.

Don't know the specifics...

Default Re: Anyone notice this on the Audi website, RE: ipod integration??

Hello

I had the Ipod kit fitted on my order, as I got a tech pack in the UK they also fitted the 6CD player but left it disconnected.

Within a week, I asked them to reconnect the CD player and refund the Ipod connection; it was next to useless.

At least with CDs I know what I am putting in there.
