Default Anyone use Lamin-X protective colored lense film?

Seeing a few pics in a german tuning magazine, I am still debating whether they are hot or ricey. I am tempted to experiment with the Blue film for the headlights and the yellow for the fogs (or blue all the way, whith the thought it would be cool on my Sprint).

Anyone done this setup? Thoughts?

Default There's only one way to find out. Try it and look at it. it's different from the pics we see in the

magazines. I was thinking too like a very light hint of smoked tint just to tame the chrome of the headlights.

Default its very thick film (like 3m clear bra)....

its not thin like window tints....the gray tint held up very well on my previous car (i tinted the rear reflectors)...

its pretty tough to apply, especially if youre not patient and expecting perfection

with that said, it is a good product, just go to a tint place and let them apply it

Default I ordered a set - Blue for lights, yellow for fogs

Will update as far as install and looks, will post some pics in a week or so when they arrive. They are pre-cut for our cars, so they promise an 'easy' install. We shall see...

Default sure, they are cut to the car....

but the tough part is heating up the laminate properly to make it pliable and also apply it without leaving any bubbles underneath...the fogs should be much easier to do

the headlights shouldnt be that bad since there arent any huge compound curves...(i tried it on my 350z and it was a huge PITA)

good luck!

Default I pulled the trigger, and think they look dynamite!

I will post some pics over the weekend as I need to give the Blue Beast the bath she truly deserves. But initial impression is that I absolutely LOVE the Lamin-X.

I ordered the light blue for the headlights and yellow for the fogs (a la WRC, LOL). On my Sprint I think it looks magic, but you guys be the judge of that in a few days.

I went to a tint shop, though honestly I could've done it myself. No heat gun was necessary, the install was a breeze. The next couple of days there was some small bubbles and 'fogging', which was normal according to Lamin-X, and happy to report that now as the film is fully settled, it is all gone.

Installer was so impressed with the quality of the film and looks, he asked me to come back for a photoshoot for his portfolio! ;-o)
