HSport will be out with a very nice option for the RS4 within a month...
the hope is that not only will it reduce roll and add to neutrality but also straighten out the rear end gyration that occurs mid corner when going off throttle or braking.

Absolutely not
The RS4 doesn't need them, but some owners *think* that they need them. It all boils down to what you're trying to accomplish, what you don't like, what you like, what track you're running on, your mix of street/track, etc. The last thing you need is a dartboard approach to suspension mods. Each component has a different effect, and is the reason COMPLETE KITS such as the Stasis kit are so popular and are an excellent (if pricey) choice. They did their homework and designed/selected components that work together and compliment each other.
Unless you like being a guinea pig. If you like to experiement, please tell us what the bars did to the handling.

Is this one of the two H Sport additions Mike at Pure mentioned recently?

"needs" is a relative term. No, but it will likely benefit greatly from them...
The hope is that for just $300 bucks or so you can eliminate the rear end shimmy without touching the other suspension components. Of course, additionally you will feel a night and day difference in roll control. It is relative though. If you are happy with how it is than stay that way. But you will definitely feel the difference immediately when installing them.

I have the prototypes...
I did an install on them for MLE magazine.
My car has KW Ver 3 coilovers, so I can't tell you how they are with stock suspension.
After tracking another RS4, and spirited street driving with this car, the best description I can offer is that Mike's assertions are reasonably astute. Initial understeer is much less pronounced and the mid corner shimmy at the limit seems to be gone.
The brake dive on initial hard braking is less pronounced and overall, understeer is reduced.
However, I did an alignment for high speed driving on this car. I'd be really interested to see how a more aggressive alignment and sticky tire affects the car's performance.
Overall: 2 thumbs up for the H-Sport sway bars.
