APR butt dyno report
Had the ECUs flashed with APR software this morning & following are my initial impressions.
Do I sense a quantum increase in hp / torque - NO
Was I expecting a quantum increase - NO
Are there noticible improvements - YES
Am I happy & satisfied customer - YES
Anyone who tells you there is a huge difference up around 7,000 or 8,000 RPM with this engine is not paying enough attention to what else is going on around them in real world situations (like not hitting the rev limiter in about another tenth of a second).
Having said that, there are a couple of areas where there is a noticable difference, the most obvious to me being full throttle torque / hp in the sort of 3000 - 6000 RPM range. The other most obvious difference in my opinion is a generally smoother feel and better response to power application under part throttle conditions, particularly coming off idle and working through the gears at say a 50% throttle - very much smoother & as someone else put it, a more "eager" feel to the engine.
FWIW, again in my opinion, the Miltek exhaust helped the mid range torque to an extent, the APR flash was just another layer and the frosting on the cake.
Argue if you wish, but not with me - i am a happy customer and do not expect to be asking for my money back.
Cheers, Bob

Was your butt properly calibrated for altitude? How about any other correction factore?
Joking aside, the flash would require an ECU reset which many have described a similar performance increase like you describe (me included). Not trying to bust your chops at all, but the scientist in me is being the usual PITA skeptic.

Elevens, ECUs were reset about two weeks ago when I had the battery out for about an hour, and this is a VERY NOTICABLE difference. As I said, I am a happy customer, and one who is extremely familiar with, and alert to, the concept of placebo effect. Not sure if I am a "scientist", but I am an engineer, and my wife tells me that I am a PITA.
Reggie, I will check the mileage over time, but I find the biggest variable in mileage is the rate of depression of my right foot :-)
Happy motoring, Bob
