I really thought I was going to get a RS4 this year, but then I go to the dealership and I see how much nicer the interior is on the S5. The RS4 is a beast, but I can't keep thinking that I'm buying into an older interior design with the RS.

Maybe I should wait for the RS5 to come out next year?

So in June I bought an S4 Cab, Less than 5 months later RS4 Cab shows up. Traded in for it and took a big hit. I agree that if you don't want to wait get the RS4 now

I think it's safe to say the RS5 won't be here in 5 months.

Saw the S5 the other day on the road... It's downright baller. And it's a good bit cheaper.

FYI...I've got an e46 M3 that I'm keeping so the RS4 is something different.

wait for the RS5, or get the RS4... the S5 is really tame in comparison

The S5 looks amazing, but it isnt an RS Car .... Get the RS4

Very different cars, different seating space, much different engine philosophy, different performance numbers, different pricing, different target audience, different production numbers, etc.

Both great cars for different reasons. To simplify:

S5 = comfortable capable GT type car (think BMW 6 series),latest styling, pretty reasonably priced, etc

RS4 = race engine (sans dry sump), high revving concept, super car type performance, legitimate M3/AMG competitor, may be overpriced

just my humble opinion of course
