Don't you know James, the RS4 = P00 to the B5ers.. I think
the reasoning that B5ers are using to compare their modded cars to the RS4 could also be an argument for getting an Evo or STI instead.
The RS4 is so much more than the sum of its parts, but this will be lost on a lot of these guys. Oh well.

I have no direspect for the B7 RS4, i think its a great chassis...
but when it comes to making power the B5 wins hands down. The RS4 dyno vid i just posted was done in the same conditions as my car and i made 403whp. The RS4 only made 280whp. Overall the RS4 wins but when it comes to making power B5 FTW.

If I was younger and looking for a turbo-charged roller-skate, I would almost definitely get an STI. At this point in my life, I'm looking for luxury, performance, prestige and the ability to transport my family safely & securely - albeit quickly :-)
My wife only gives me one requirement for a car: it needs to have 4 doors (which kinda rules out the P-car I've always wanted). I tried arguing for a while and give up... realizing it was easier to make us both happy by getting a performance sedan. Coming from England and being used to smaller cars, the RS4 is a perfect solution for me. The S6 or S8 are honestly a bit too big.
Anyway, all I'm trying to say is, the B5 S4 is a great car and I have thoroughly enjoyed mine, but it's time to onward & upward !

A Stage 3+ B5 S4 is not comparable to the STI or EVO...
The B5 is much better appointed. In my car I have The RNS-E. The only thing an RS4 has over my B5 is Multi Function steering wheel and Bluetooth. I may integrate bluetooth. The only reason I was looking to replace my car with an RS4 was its age. It is now over 7 years old. However, it still runs wonderful, with the brake and suspension upgrade, it is a great track car, and still well appointed despite it's age. In the end, I decided I could not live with car that is over 100whp less than my current car. I still really like the RS4, and you are wrong, I have a lot of respect for it.
