A few questions
How to you upload the data to the car? can it be done using the SD slots or is this something that requires more advanced tools?
You have it installed, correct? Any problems? Do you have the software on disc or something?

Re: Update can be done via the 2007 DVD maps, or a CD with just the firmware updates. No SD update.
If you do the update via the 2007 DVD maps (sold by Navteq), you will also get 3D highway preview. I think that's the coolest feature of all. It basically shows every highway maneuver in 3D with arrows indicating which lane(s) you should be on. The feature requires new map data, so just upgrading the firmware won't give it to you. The new map data includes more detailed highway configuration like the number of lanes etc. to make the 3D rendering pretty realistic.

Just borrow an 07 DVD, it will update your unit and still use your older map disk
Or you can burn an update CDR from souce files and just update your unit.

Follow Sparkhill's step-by-step and put the CD in the Nav slot for about 3 minutes..
The screen tells you when the update is completed.Take it out and no more lawyer screen and all software is updated. Then put your Nav DVD back in and you are ready to go. Did it the other day and total download and update time was maybe 15 minutes including time to burn the update CD.

https://forums.audiworld.com/rs4b7/msgs/31789.phtml</a

ALSO, when you put in a new entry in directory... it automatically now does lower case after the...
...the first uppercase word.
you wont have to go to the arrow sign and lowercase.
just thought to mention besides those other great points mentioned.
