Default Audi Break In

I have trying to follow the break in method that I have seen posted a couple of times on the forum. Just curious - what has the gas mileage been like for those who have also following the recommendations?

I believe it's got to be on the lower side of the 14 miles city - 21 highway. Most of my driving has been done on quiet roads - very little / no traffic - speed limits between 40 - 60 mph's. I can't believe anyone is seeing the high end getting to 5500 rpm's shifting through 2nd & 3rd gears. I am sure gas mileage improves as the car reaches break-in.

One thing I have noticed over the last couple of weeks. There has been a noticeable improvement on acceleration getting to 5500 rpm once you shift from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th gear - noticeably smoother.

I have the car for 2 weeks and had it out for about 5 hours. I have gotten it up to between 80 & 95 MPH's for very short bursts of time. Again noticed that the acceleration has gotten smoother from the 1rst time.

Curious as to what other have experienced.

Default I believe that you will continue to have improved acceleration up to and even beyond

5K miles. Audi engines all seem to be built tight. It takes considerably longer than 1000 miles for the engine to loosen up to the optimum. probably occurs somewhere between 5K and 10k based on driving styles.
