Default Is Audi no longer installing special spark plugs for shipping?
My dealer said there wasn't a set of spark plugs in the trunk. He speculated that instead, they program the ECU for shipping, which has to be "undone" during prep. The special ECU programming includes modified timing/fuel maps, a very low redline, and also a very low top-speed limiter. He told me what they were, but I was too excited about getting my car to remember - something like 4000rpm and 40mph limits.

Your dealer might not be aware of the shipping plugs since they're swapped out at the port vs dealer
