Default Audi pure protection-worth it?

Just got an RS4. Dealer wanted to sell me the extended warranty-Audi pure protection by fidelity warranty services in Florida. I only put about 5000 miles a year on the car. They have a plan called platinum for 3 more years which extends the warranty to 7yr or 70k miles for $2000. It excludes all wear and tear items. What do you guys think? Is it even worth bothering?

Default "Fidelity warranty services" I thought they went out of business a few years ago

So after 4 years you will have 20K on the clock ...after 7 years, if you keep it that long, you will have 35K @ 5K/yr.

Nothing major should screw up during those miles. Put that $2000 in a CD and save for any future repairs.

Default I had JM& A which is Fidelity. It paid for it self on my car, but I have a B5 S4........

It is not worth it in your case since you won't put enough miles on the car.

Default um no.

the best time to buy an extended warranty is a month or two before your factory warranty expires (unless you know you're going to exceed 50k miles in the first 4 years).
