Hi,

I own an Audi RS4 B7 from 2006, since the car ECU was upgraded by Audi the car has never been the same..
Car went to dyno and it shows a power loss @ 6000~6100 and then continues normally..
At highway driving (6th gear) it's reaches 6000~6100 (240~250) stalls and the continues to normal acceleration (all this without lifting up the pedal), no one can figure what the problem is ?!
I'm kind pissed, because the car was almost three weeks @ the dealership and has the same problem, the car went to aftermark tunners, and had the ABT file to unlimit the car and still has the same problem :S

Any suggestions ?

personally, I think it's a fuel quality issue. try switching to a different filling station and/or brand.

Does it always stall every time you pass 6k RPM? in 6th or does it happen 'randomly'

If you let the car slow down (shortly after it stalls) to 5kRPM and then accelerate does it stall again at 6k?

Any chance you actually do lift the pedal slightly - due to the sudden power loss?


I was reproducing my 5kRPM Die By Wire problem for a Service Tech and by the 5th stall I was expecting it and had held the pedal with out reacting to it... It continued to stall until I released the pedal slightly...

since then there were 5 other occasions that I managed to 'have control' of the stall's duration but there were dozens of times it was the normal second or two...

I only feel it @ 5th/6th gear. It happens all the time between 6000~6100 (6th) rpm only in that power frame.
At 5th gear the power loss is at a different power frame. It might be speed related since it happens @ 240~250 km/h +-.
No, pedal is @ full throttle :|

Problem with or w/o speed limiter ?

I might give it a try, but since it only happens at 240~250 it's very weird...

there have been several problems reported similar to that at other speeds/gears/rpms...

mine does it occasionally in second gear if not under HARD acceleration...
