Default Audi RS4 vs. The Rest - Interesting data

The Swedish magazine AUTOMOBIL tested the new Audi RS4.
The have their own "A-Test" with different measuremennt as seen below.

As you can see the Audi RS4 does very well - (much) better than I had expected. It reaches Top 5 or Top 10 in most areas, and the competition is very hard!

The verdict for the Audi RS4 was:
"The RS4 is a compromise in harmony between winter capability and your racing license"
The one and only drawback was that they felt the RS4 lacked enough feedback in the steering wheel and pedals. But what you get instead is the possibility to load your car full with stuff, four passangers in comfort in every possible weahter, nothing the BMW M3 can't boast with.

The car was on Pirelli PZero Rossos. 255/35/19

The list is far from complete, but it gives you an idea.

Audi RS4 vs. The Rest

Default anyone else notice the 997s missing from ...

the 0-100 list. the 997s consistenly hits 60 mphs in under 4 sec, typically 3.8 sec. hmmm ... anyway, great showing by the rs4, esp with its placing in slalom speed.

Default 100% agree. The US model is like having an avg-sized adult male as a permanent passenger...

with all of the performance benefits that comes with all that extra weight already in the car

Hehe that's our punishment for getting one of the most affordable RS4's despite the weak US$.

Default stuff to prevent you from being killed.

the shell seats are probably quite a bit lighter than the recaros too. once people in the US start taking delivery, you'll see the 'weight loss' topic start to appear on this forum. lightweight wheels, for one, would be one way to get rid of some weight.

Default um, no.

look again, it's on the list...tied with the M6 at 4.8sec 0-100km/h. Porsche claims 4.6s 0-60mph for the 997S. the quickest published time i've seen is 3.9s (Road & Track).
