I LOVED writing for that magazine...they always let me write whatever I wanted. Credit the former owner, Rob Laidlaw and MY boss, Colum Wood.
I always wrote for them pro bono...it was not about the money. But in the end, the time necessary to perform my duties with other ventures overshadowed my ability to spend "fun" time writing for them. In short, I had to work where I was being compensated for my time.
Nevertheless, the MLE title is still among my favs and I hope the new owners, SourceInterlink, continue to move towards bringing their content back toward pleasing enthusiasts rather than pandering to advertisers.
