Audio input question.. I am about to implement the most killer mod ever on a car..
I basically need a simple audio stero input setup. I know the damned car doesn't have a jack anywhere (which is inexcusable, but for another post).
Anyone have any intimate knowledge about how to get a line into the amp?
The mod I have is quite simply, but will be the world beater of car audio.
You can forget SD cards, Disc changers, Ipod connectors, and satelite radio.
This will be pricey, but I am going to install an Oqo mini PC (full WindowsXP computer in tiny form), with a broadband Verizon wireless EDO connection (using BT through my Verizon XV6700 Windows Mobile phone).
Then, the Oqo will have Rhapsody Listen installed, and streaming an endless array of the millions of available songs.
Total cost is probably upwards of $2k plus the monthly broadband data charges, which I already incur anyway...
I'll post photos when it's complete, but it shoudl be the end all be all of music flexibility, provided you are within a Verizon broadband market area (which is of no issue to me)...

Re: That would be cool, although the Oqo is a touch screen so that's hard to beat while driving and

Hey great idea.. actually, now that you mention it...
That could be done using a voice recognition SDK probably rather easily. The question would be whether or not you could gaurantee some quality of microphone input to the Oqo. It's probably doable, I'll need to mull it over.
