ICON is correct... I am gutless:^) It was going out of warranty and after 2 motor pulls, rear diff
replaced and other items.... I felt it was better to trade in and get something else. I chose the A4 becuase it is the lightest 4 door car Audi makes. I had massive regrets as I drove it off the lot but 3 days later and a trip to STaSIS I am lovin the car.... Ohlins, Alcons, GIAC transformed the car. It will be going in for AWE exhaust with downpipe, short shifter and 19" forged Volks next week. I will probably keep it untill the C6 RS6 comes out. Beginning of next year we will be most likely getting a new S8 for my wife.

All told after all of your aftermarket stuff, what will you have in the A4? (dollar amount) Not to be nosey, but I just sold my B6S4 that I paid 50 some K for and I am wondering what your A4 will be in comparison for dollars and performance. Thanks Steve

I got a good deal on the car to start with the MSRP was a little over 41k and I got the car for about 38k.
The way I looked at it is that I would do the suspension, brake, exhaust, center diff, sway bar, wheels and short shifter on either car so I threw out those costs when comparing the S4 and A4.
So the only difference is ECU and maybe test pipe. I also may get some Recaros as well.
So ECU flash is about $600, test pipe about $200 and Recaros about $4000 for the set.
The acceleration performance will be a little off of the S4 but not much. I have driven my friends B7 S4 and my chiped/no exhaust yet car and they are very very close... the S4 would probably take the A4 in top end currently. Also, the 300+ weight savings on the A4 is very noticeable over the S4 in handling.
I did get a slight discount because I bought Ohlin's and Alcons at the same time.
The S4 I was looking at was about 54k so I had 16k to make the car as fast as the S4... so if I ever do a bigger turbo I have plenty of savings to do that... so far I am way ahead money wise.
