Best non DRC suspension for roaduse
Hi Guys
I really need your best oppinions on this one.
My mate has an 06 with 70 miles on it. One leaking damper has been changed and now one more has gone bad. So now he's looking for an aftermarket solution. He's after a pure road setup, retaining the fairly soft side of the DRC system, but still being up for the task of spirited, fast road driving. (No track use)
As for as I can see the choises are:
Statis SL
Statis Motorsport
KW v3
Bilstein PSS9
Is there anymore choises, and what would you guys recommend!?
Thanks!

No matter what coilovers you go with, you won't get as much comfort as the stock suspension. I have the KW V3's and are great for that combo you are looking for. I've never been in another RS with another suspension so I can't offer my opinion on the others but I've only heard good things about the Stasis Ohlins.

Without a doubt go with Stasis Motorsport with the "normal street" springs which are 700/1200 lb/in rated. On really rough surfaces, ride is definitely harsher than stock but it isn't bothersome by any means. On smoother roads and slightly rough roads, it is superior to stock. Seriously.

i'd say go for the V3's.. great coils for half the price. save the MS for the track..
i've driven in a couple RS4s with V3's and it was pretty smooth ride which i was pretty surprised. i may pickup a set in the spring..

If it's just for street use I'd go with the Stasis SLs. No need to pay extra for the adjustability of the Stasis Motorsports if you're not going to use it.
