Briefly ran with a Bentley Continential GT today
Idiot was weaving in and out of traffic at 30mph over the rest of the flow. He passed me and I didnt think much about it until I rounded the next corner and he was waiting at the stoplight. I pulled in behind him. When the light turned green he obviously floored it and his tires briefly broke loose.
He caught me off guard so I was losing ground through 1st but upon shifting into second I was noticably gaining on him. I shut it down around 70 (posted was 65) and sank back into the flow as he continued to weave through traffic up ahead.
Not much of a story but that car seemed damn fast for how big it is.
(at no times were the lives of the drivers, passengers, or bystanders placed at risk in this event - flamesuit on)

Bentley's have insaaaaane torque.
drive one and you'll be blown away. You totally forget your in something the size/weight of an ocean liner. And the GT Speed will leave you breathless.

2nd. it feels like driving a locomotive at top speed - huge, heavy, endless gobs of torque
and the GT speed tops out at over 200mph, while you sip your latte and your passengers enjoy the wood paneling.
the conti series shares a lot with the A8L W12 - suspension, engine block, etc. they are excellent cars.

Very true. But this is off-the-shelf (as it were)...
and a big part of the sensation here comes from the incongruity of the sheer size and mass of the vehicle you're rocketing ahead in.
