Default bruised rs4, to prevent the yellowing of the CF engine parts...

I know you open the hood after you get home, but what do you do when you are away (i.e., the mall)?

Default I only open the hood at home in the garage. It would be nice to be able to open it everywhere

but I figure a little is better than none.

Back in the day, the Porsche owners would open their motors when they got home and turn on a fan to cool the engine. That's where I got the idea.

So far the covers look like new but the car only has 8k miles on it.

Hope this helps.

Audi is starting to deny the warranty on these parts.

Default Curious, my RS6 has ~75k miles and no yellowing of the CF intake cover...

And I'm sure it gets a lot hotter in there then the RS4 engine bay.

It's probably a bit of both.

Default yup... they denied me back in Sept. They said they would do it if it would fix the problem...

but since they would just turn green again they wouldn't.
