Default BT module

All,

I recently found out that my beloved RS 4 does not have the Bluetooth module installed from the factory. The person who order the car did not want that or the sunroof (I can understand the sunroof to save weight but the BT...). Does anyone know if it is possible to add this to the car at this point w/ factory parts?

Any assistance is much appreciated!

Congratulations on owning only 1 of 27 RS4s made w/othe sunroof. I ordered mine that way and would have it no other way. I couldn't do without bluetooth however!

When I ordered my car, there was no way to delete BT. It was part of the Premium Package. Does your car have the PP?

WSR - Premium Package - $4,700
- Audi Navigation Plus System (Includes Map DVD)
- Glovebox 6 CD Changer
- Homelink
- Auto-Dimming Exterior Mirrors
- Auto-Dimming Interior Mirror with Compass
- Memory for Driver Side Seat Adjustment and Mirror Positions
- Rain and Light Sensor with "Coming Home"
- Blue Tooth phone preparation
- Sirius® Satellite Radio
- Bose Premium Sound System with Audio Pilot
- Heated Rear Seats
- Power Rear and Manual Rear Side Sunshades

Yes I do believe the BT module came with the Premium Package (PP). Only 64 cars were built without PP. If the car has sunroof delete AND no premium package, then you have a very lightweight, no nonsense RS4. When I ordered, I almost went that route but like I said before, can't do without BT (or Homelink). Could easily do without all the other junk - CD changer, sat radio, upgraded sound, rear shade, heated rear seats, etc.

The OP can look up his car in the RS4 Registry here: http://www.stahmann-motorsports.com/...4_VIN_List.htm

My car has the premium package. I have everything else listed *except* the Sunroof and bluetooth. It is weird but I have found some posts on this forum of how to buy and install the module as well as the components necessary.

TIA

I have already check the VIN on his web page (which is VERY schweet).

Any chance that BT is simple disabled, or mis-coded in VAG-COM? Or have you visually verifed that the hardware is indeed missing? Just trying to help.

elevens: Man, I do appreciate the assistance. I took it to the dealer and they check (as well as verified my VIN & specs) that the car does not have the Bluetooth module. I am tempted to have independent mechanic look (just to be sure) that there isn't a module under he passenger's seat.
