Bumps on RS4 leather seat surface

Bumps on RS4 leather seat surface
I just picked up a 2007 RS4 and noticed the front seats have bumps, lumps, dimples, cellulite, whatever, on the butt/thigh sections. I took it back to the dealership and checked an S4 and two other RS4s and they have the same problem. The dealership's service reps told me there's nothing they can do, but will have the Audi rep take a look next week.
I then took the car to a leather upholstery specialty shop and they told me it's because the front seats are missing the foam between the heating material and the leather. As a result, the seat heating material is showing through the leather. He told me it's the way the front seats are manufactured and is easily fixed by adding a layer of foam (he already fixed this on another Audi). The fix would take 3 days and would cost approximately $900.
Has anyone else noticed this on their seats? Is there any chance Audi of America will fix this or pay for the repairs? It's very slight, but you can see and feel the bumps.

The bumps are very slight, but you can kinda see them in this pic. It's in the small rectangular section of the seat that would be below your knees.
Does that look normal?

Re: Bump like this?
It's unfortunate that we accept this as normal, when the dealerships even acknowlege that something is wrong. I'll talk to the AoA rep and see what they can do, but I have a feeling they'll just tell me to bugger off...
Net net, I guess it's not that bad, but these little imperfections really irritate me.

Re: Bump like this?
that doesn't look bad, although it could be better, i agree.
Audi could do better with their leather seating surfaces on the A4/S4/RS4 cars, the leather and the fitment.
was looking at a new RS4 on the showroom a few weeks ago and i noticed the drivers seat side bolster was already marked with horizontal scuff marks. that surprised me.

Mine looks like the picture of the RS4 seat above, which I assume is normal and not the least bit
disturbing to me. It also looks better than the driver's seat in my one year old BMW 650i conv. with 10k miles. Audi has the best interior design, fitment and materials of all manufacturers IMO, and that includes Bentley, Maybach, Aston Martin which are 3 to 5 or more times as expensive.
