Default To buy or not to buy?

Another potential RS4 owner here. I've owned 3 A4's and have waited patiently for my budget to meet up with the price of an RS4 and it appears that time has come. I'm eyeing a 2007 with about 45,000 miles. If I buy this car I'll likely keep it for 30,000 miles and my question is what repairs should I expect between now and then? Are their common things that go wrong I should know about? Also, is it foolish to buy such a high performance automobile with this many miles?

Also, I am considering the Audi Pure Warranty for $3800 for 3 years. For those who have purchased has it saved your *** or better to keep this money in the bank and use it for repairs as they occur?

I wouldn't get the warranty and make sure you have it PPI. Also, be sure the brakes, 45k mile maint and CB check has been done. Other than that you should be good to go!

Sorry what's "CB" stand for? And when I have Audi do their inspection should I ask them to look for anything in particular or just the normal stuff they do routinely?

Default Do it (and get the warranty)

I traded my 2010 S4 for an 07 RS4 with 45,000 miles on it in January. I've not stopped smiling yet. In fact, I just completed a 3,100 mile road trip through the rockies and northwest and the car was flawless and FUN, FUN, FUN!

I did get the warranty. I called a few Audi service advisors and they all said the same thing; repairs on this car are very expensive. Even simple things will cost a lot. The warranty as about $3500 but I've already used it to replace the seat memory module ($500 or so).
