Came across an Audi oil change instruction which stated for the RS4 "do not extract oil!"

Default Came across an Audi oil change instruction which stated for the RS4 "do not extract oil!"
I'm guessing the dipstick tube doesn't go down to the lowest point in the pan. It's pretty common to have that option with the easy change filters nowadays. Anyone know more details?

A search pulls up an example of only 6 quart extraction, pipe doesn't go low enough

Well yes they're all baffled and the RS has some really good ones, but they don't trap indefinately

Bentley manual specifically says not to use an extractor.

"I believe" all pans have baffles to help with surge, the '70s engines I worked on way back did

Default unique design of the oil pan won't allow full extraction, it's that simple.
